The wedding of star cricketer Smriti Mandhana and acclaimed singer Palash Muchhal is reportedly still on, despite a recent postponement due to family health crises. The ceremony was put on indefinite hold when Smriti’s father fell critically ill just before the wedding. The stress of the situation reportedly led to Palash also facing health issues, requiring him to be hospitalized.
With both Smriti’s father and Palash now recovering and discharged from medical care, attention has turned to when the couple will tie the knot. Palak Muchhal, Palash’s sister, had previously confirmed the postponement, requesting that the family’s privacy be respected during this sensitive period. Her earlier statement helped to manage public reactions and prevent premature conclusions.
Addressing the wave of speculation and rumors online, Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, has offered a clear and positive outlook. She has assured the public that the wedding is not cancelled and is expected to happen soon. “Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain… Palash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome… Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi,” she was quoted as saying. This reassures fans concerned by Smriti Mandhana’s recent social media updates, where some wedding-related content was removed, but which the family insists does not signify a cancellation.
Palash Muchhal’s health setback was reportedly a sharp rise in blood pressure, necessitating hospitalization first in Sangli and then in Mumbai. He has since been released and is recovering well.
