At IFFI Goa 2025, the poster for the epic war drama ‘The Battle of Shatrughat’ was officially released, immediately capturing attention for its stunning visuals and impressive cast. The film is set to deliver a grand spectacle, exploring themes of honour, destiny, and the intensity of warfare. Starring Gurmeet Choudhary and Aarushi Nishank in lead roles, the movie also features Sidharth Nigam, Mahesh Manjrekar, Raza Murad, and Zarina Wahab, promising a rich cinematic tapestry.
Aarushi Nishank makes a memorable debut as a warrior-princess, her image on the poster exuding a formidable and regal aura. Clad in an elaborate traditional lehenga and adorned with intricate jewellery, she confidently wields a large sword, underscoring her central importance to the film’s plot.
Gurmeet Choudhary appears as a battle-hardened warrior in full armour, projecting an image of stoic determination. Contrasting this is Sidharth Nigam’s character, sporting a wild, unkempt look with long hair and a fur coat, which adds to the film’s deep, mythic tone. These character portrayals are crucial to understanding the narrative’s dynamics.
Helmed by director Shahid Kazmi, with script by Sajad Khaki and costumes by Darshan Kamwal, ‘The Battle of Shatrughat’ is designed to be a visually spectacular and emotionally engaging war saga. Gurmeet Choudhary has described the film as a ‘labour of love’ and an ‘entirely new space’ for him, expressing his excitement for this blend of romance, war, and historical drama.
