A day after making waves with her withdrawal from politics and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Rohini Acharya has unveiled a distressing account of her experiences within the party. Acharya, who previously contested from Saran under the RJD banner, took to X on Sunday to allege she faced intense verbal abuse and even the threat of physical aggression. She described a deeply personal humiliation where she was subjected to ‘filthy abuses’ and had a slipper raised against her, stating that her refusal to abandon truth and self-respect led to this ‘insult.’ The emotional fallout extended to her family relationships, with Acharya describing a painful separation from her ‘crying parents and sisters,’ feeling abandoned and ‘orphaned.’ She expressed a poignant hope that no other family would have to endure such a daughter’s suffering. In a separate, highly controversial claim, Acharya addressed allegations that her father’s kidney transplant was orchestrated for financial gain. She detailed accusations of being called ‘dirty’ and profiting ‘crores of rupees’ from the transplant, which she allegedly used to procure a political ticket. She issued a stark advisory to married women regarding familial health crises, suggesting they ask their brothers to source their own or a friend’s kidney for a transplant. These declarations follow her surprise announcement on Saturday to quit politics and ‘disown’ her family, naming Sanjay Yadav and Rameez as key figures influencing her decision. Speaking with journalists, Acharya reinforced her accusations, identifying Tejashwi Yadav, Sanjay Yadav, and Rameez as instrumental in her alleged mistreatment and the party’s recent electoral setbacks.
