In a significant blow to Naxalite operations in Chhattisgarh, security forces have reported the killing of three Maoist cadres in Sukma district. The intense gun battle took place in a forested area situated between the Bhejji and Chintagufa police station boundaries. A proactive anti-Naxalite operation by the District Reserve Guard (DRG) led to the confrontation.
The security forces were acting on specific intelligence pointing to the presence of Naxalites in the operational zone. The encounter, which began early Sunday morning, resulted in the fatal casualties of three insurgents. The DRG and other security personnel are continuing their efforts in the region, ensuring the area is clear of any threats. This operation reinforces the state’s resolve against violent extremism.
