A distressing discovery in Kakdwip has police launching a manhunt for a local lawyer following the death of a first-year female law student. The student’s body was found in the lawyer’s chamber in the Pratapaditya Gram Panchayat area on Thursday. The student was a resident of Gandhinagar.
Family members reported that the student routinely visited the lawyer’s chamber for academic purposes. She left her home on Wednesday morning, and by evening, the family was notified of her death. Her body was discovered hanging within the premises of the lawyer’s office. The police were promptly informed and have taken possession of the body for an autopsy.
During the initial investigation, a bag containing a love letter was recovered from the location. The student’s relatives have expressed their suspicion of the lawyer, suggesting a potential relationship issue that might have led to the student’s suicide.
