Preparations are in full swing for Jharkhand Foundation Day in Ranchi, with an emphasis on comprehensive security. The primary celebration at Morahabadi Maidan on November 15th will be safeguarded by approximately 1,000 police officers. A high-level security command, comprising three IPS officers and six DSPs, along with other officials, will monitor the operations across Ranchi. Dr. Michael Raj, IG Operations for Jharkhand Police, confirmed the increased deployment of forces for the state’s founding anniversary. Security personnel will be on duty from 6 AM, ensuring preparedness for the main afternoon event. The city will be under a heightened security umbrella with the presence of 1,000 additional jawans. The security framework includes key leadership roles filled by three IPS officers, six DSPs, 40 inspectors, and 80 sub-inspectors. Security at the Morahabadi venue will be organized in three distinct layers for maximum effectiveness. Specialized units, including the Bomb Disposal Squad, JAP, ATS, and Jharkhand Jaguar, will be on standby. Extensive CCTV coverage across the city will enable continuous monitoring from a central control room, with directives for immediate reporting of any incidents. A contingent of plainclothes police officers will also be deployed. All vehicles entering the vicinity of the venue will be subject to strict inspection. Attendees will undergo rigorous checks using metal detectors and scanners at all entry points before being allowed access to the event. The ceremony is slated to be graced by the presence of the Governor, Chief Minister, cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other senior government officials.
