A 23-year-old man, identified as Karan Ram, has died by suicide in his rented apartment in the Sakchi police station jurisdiction of East Singhbhum. The incident occurred on Sunday night, with Karan, who hailed from Nainital, Uttarakhand, found hanging in his room. He had been residing in Kashidih, reportedly in a house belonging to a local named Deepu.
Investigators are focusing on a possible love affair as the cause of his death. Karan was allegedly in a relationship with a 14-year-old girl. It is believed that an argument or disagreement between the two may have triggered the fatal decision. Karan was described as having no immediate family in the vicinity.
The alarm was raised on Monday morning when the landlord, concerned about Karan’s unresponsiveness, contacted the police. Officers from Sakchi police station responded promptly, forced entry into the room, and discovered Karan’s body. The body has been sent for a post-mortem to MGM Hospital.
