Bigg Boss Season 7 winner Gauahar Khan has strongly criticized Tanya Mittal for her ongoing body-shaming of contestant Ashnoor Kaur on Bigg Boss 19. Khan took to social media to express her disgust, calling Mittal’s comments ‘absolutely disgusting.’
Khan initially found Mittal’s on-screen antics entertaining but feels her persistent criticism of Ashnoor’s body is unacceptable. Mittal has been overheard making derogatory remarks, including calling Ashnoor an ‘elephant’ and commenting on her perceived weight gain, suggesting she looks older than her 21 years. Khan pointed out Mittal’s sarcastic remark about Ashnoor’s dress, where she allegedly implied Ashnoor looked like a ‘Barbie’ in a negative context. Khan firmly believes that judging people by their looks and engaging in malicious gossip is wrong, and that everyone deserves to feel good about themselves.
‘If you think you are beautiful by putting others down, then you are not beautiful at all,’ Khan stated, emphasizing the importance of inner beauty. She added that external appearances are superficial if one’s thoughts and intentions are not good.
The situation intensified when Mittal made direct derogatory comments about Ashnoor’s weight during a task. A recent live feed also captured Mittal and Neelam Giri discussing Ashnoor’s weight gain, despite her reportedly consistent gym routine. They further commented on an outfit Ashnoor wore, stating it didn’t suit her body type and would have looked better on them.
These incidents have sparked widespread outrage among Bigg Boss viewers on social media. Many fans have condemned Mittal and Giri for their insensitive comments and for crossing a line by body-shaming Ashnoor Kaur, who is only 21 years old.
