India’s star opener, Smriti Mandhana, has successfully defended her No. 1 ranking in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings. Her recent heroics in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, including a magnificent century against New Zealand and a composed 34 not out against Bangladesh, have earned her a personal best rating of 828. This puts her in a commanding position, nearly 100 points clear of Ashleigh Gardner of Australia, who is now second with 731 points after a superb unbeaten century. Mandhana’s current form is a continuation of her outstanding performances, which also saw her named ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September 2025. The updated rankings show positive movement for several other players. South African captain Laura Wolvaardt has ascended to third place in the batting rankings. England’s Amy Jones has entered the top 10, now at ninth, and Annabel Sutherland has made a remarkable jump to 16th. India’s Pratika Rawal, despite an injury, has entered the top 30. In the bowling department, Sophie Ecclestone continues to lead, with Alana King making significant strides to second place following a seven-wicket haul that propelled her to a career-high rating. Nashra Sundhu has also entered the top 10. Ashleigh Gardner remains the top-ranked all-rounder, with Marizanne Kapp now in second position.
