Permission granted to the Higher Education Department to commence classes
Raipur, October 21, 2025/ On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Higher Education Department Ministry of Chhattisgarh Government has approved the establishment of 4 new government colleges provided for in the budget for the financial year 2025-26. According to the order issued by the Higher Education Department, these colleges will be established in Farsabahar (District-Jashpur), Kardega (District-Jashpur), Nagarnar (District-Bastar) and Kilepal (District-Bastar).
This initiative by the Chief Minister will make higher education opportunities available in their own areas for students from tribal-dominated and geographically remote areas like Jashpur and Bastar. He said that providing quality higher education to the youth of the state is a priority of his government. Daughters and sons from remote areas will no longer have to go far from their homes for college studies. The state government is strengthening the education system to ensure access to higher education in every area. The Chief Minister further said that education is the foundation of the all-round development of the state and the government is committed to providing opportunities, resources, and a better academic environment to the youth.
It is noteworthy that along with the approval of the creation of a total of 132 posts (33 posts per college) for these four colleges, the state government has also given permission to commence classes. The approved posts include Principal, Assistant Professor, Librarian, Sports Officer, Assistant Grade-1, and Lab personnel, etc. This initiative by Chief Minister Shri Sai will promote higher education in tribal and remote areas. Opportunities for education, employment, and skill enhancement for local youth will increase. Balanced and equitable educational development in the state will gain momentum.
