The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has successfully intercepted and seized firecrackers worth Rs 23,182 during an anti-transgression drive at Muri Railway Station. This significant recovery is a testament to the RPF’s heightened operational tempo in the Ranchi division, spearheaded by Commandant Pawan Kumar. While patrolling the station and its environs, a vigilant RPF team identified an unattended large white bag on Platform 1 of the 18626 Express. Subsequent inspection revealed a substantial cache of assorted fireworks, with a declared value of Rs 23,182. Efforts to locate the owner by making public appeals proved futile. Consequently, the RPF flying squad, comprising ASI Anil Kumar, ASI R.K. Singh, Dinesh Prasad, and Hemant, executed the seizure in the presence of witnesses and secured the fireworks at the RPF post in Muri for further legal proceedings.
