A fatal road accident tragically ended the life of Ashish Laguri, 30, in West Singhbhum’s Jagannathpur police station limits early Tuesday. The incident, which happened near Jaldihha village on the main road, involved an unidentified vehicle that collided with Mr. Laguri’s motorcycle. The deceased was from Sabil Tola Utubasud in Noamundi.
Following the accident, the local community reacted with dismay and anger, leading to a road blockade. Jagannathpur Station in-charge Avinash Hembrum and his team responded quickly, reaching the scene to calm the protestors and reopen the road. The body has been collected by the police for a post-mortem.
Law enforcement is diligently working to trace the vehicle and driver responsible for this fatal crash. A formal FIR is being registered against the unknown driver, and the police are enhancing their search by reviewing surveillance footage from the area in an effort to bring the culprit to justice.
