Ravindra Bhawan buzzed with cultural vibrancy as the Koderma Bengali Association celebrated its annual Bijoya Sammelan on Sunday evening. The event, a cherished tradition, brought the community together to share in the post-Durga Puja festivities. Association President Dr. Omyo Biswas extended his heartfelt Vijoya greetings, emphasizing community spirit. Secretary Uttam Chatterjee presented the details of the evening’s engaging program. The proceedings began with a solemn tribute to Rabindranath Tagore, marked by the garlanding of his statue. A beautiful welcome song, performed by Tapati Chakraborty, Mousumi Biswas, Priya Banerjee, Dr. Sangeeta Prasad, Soma Pal, Mili Mitra, Arup Mitra, Vipul Gupta, and Sujit Biswas, under the expert guidance of Sunil Debnath, captivated the audience from the outset. The musical ambiance was further enriched by the skillful Tabla playing of Vikas Thapa and Adrijya Biswas. The cultural showcase, spanning nearly three hours, provided a platform for the community’s young artists to shine. Audiences were treated to a remarkable display of singing and dancing talents. Performances like Antar Ghosh’s ‘Durga Elo Durga Elo,’ Ahana Banerjee’s ‘Aaye Giri Nandini,’ and the energetic dance routines by Antara Mukherjee, Priyanka Das Pal, Prakriti Ghosh, Anushree Vaidya, Archy Das, Rajsi Das, and Adrija Biswas received enthusiastic appreciation. Abhinandan Roy’s vocal talents were also highly praised. The performance of young Doel Tandon, dancing to ‘Kine De Reshmi Churi, Naile Jabo Baper Bari,’ was particularly delightful. A special moment was Luna Mitra’s enchanting guitar performance of Rabindra Sangeet. Indrani Mukherjee and Tapati Chakraborty also contributed to the evening with their singing. The smooth execution of the event was overseen by anchors Sandip Mukherjee and Sulagna Roy. The attendance was robust, with many prominent community members present, including Kalyan Banerjee, Kalyan Majumdar, Dasharathi Banerjee, Sudhanya Ghosh, Alok Sarkar, Sameeran Biswas, Juhi Dasgupta, Sapan Dey, Tapas Dey, Pintu Majumdar, and Dilip Majumdar. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Anoop Sarkar.
