Jitu Ram Bedia, a talented para-archer from Jharkhand’s Birsa Munda Archery Academy in Silli, has been selected to represent India at the Asian Youth Para Archery Championship. This significant achievement underscores Bedia’s dedication and skill in the sport. The academy marked this occasion by presenting Bedia with a state-of-the-art compound bow, a gesture of support and recognition from its patron, former Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto. Key figures from the archery community, including Chanchal Bhattacharya, Secretary of the Ranchi District Archery Association, and Babita Devi, Vice Chairperson of the Bokaro Zilla Parishad, were present to offer their encouragement.
Neha Mahto, President of the Academy, expressed her pride in Bedia’s selection, highlighting it as a moment of great pride for Jharkhand, particularly for the village of Jonha, Dimra (Bandhtola). Sudesh Kumar Mahto commended Bedia’s relentless effort, hard work, and strong resolve, calling him a source of motivation for everyone. He noted that Bedia’s journey exemplifies how talent can flourish with the right opportunities and guidance, even when facing challenges. Mahto conveyed his best wishes for Bedia’s success, hoping he would achieve great renown for India and Jharkhand on the international stage.
