The Honda Shine 125, a well-regarded two-wheeler, has become more affordable following the introduction of the new GST 2.0 reforms. The price of the 125 model has decreased by up to Rs 7,443 based on the variant. This has resulted in a surge in demand within the domestic market. Introduced in February 2025, the Shine 125 has consistently been a prominent player in the commuter segment, known for its dependability, fuel efficiency, and ease of use. With the new tax structure, the drum brake variant is priced at Rs 78,539, and the disc brake variant is priced at Rs 82,898.
A comparison of prices before and after the GST reforms reveals that the drum brake variant’s price has been reduced by Rs 6,687, and the disc variant by Rs 7,058.
The Honda Shine 125 features a 123.9cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, generating 10.63 hp and 11 Nm of torque, combined with a 5-speed gearbox.
In terms of scooter prices, the Jupiter is now priced at Rs 72,400, down from Rs 78,881. The Jupiter 125 is available at Rs 75,600, compared to its previous price of Rs 82,395. The Ntorq series’ 125 cc variant is priced at Rs 80,900, and the 150 cc version is priced at Rs 1,09,400.
Commuter bikes such as the Radeon and Sport have also seen benefits. Both are now priced at Rs 55,100, down from Rs 59,950 each. The Raider is available at Rs 80,500, reduced from Rs 87,625.
TVS is focused on staying competitive by implementing various pricing strategies.
