Hero MotoCorp has once again demonstrated its leading position in the Indian two-wheeler market. Sales figures from the government portal, ‘Vahan’, confirm Hero’s strong performance, topping the sales charts in the first half of fiscal year 2025-26 (April to September 2025). A closer look at the performance of different brands in the two-wheeler segment.
Hero MotoCorp: Dominating the Market
Between April and September 2025, Hero MotoCorp sold 24.14 lakh units. The Hero Splendor was the most popular model, with the HF Deluxe and Passion Xtec also experiencing strong sales in both rural and urban markets. Hero’s success is attributed to its value-for-money offerings, reliable engines, and fuel efficiency.
Honda: Strong Showing in Scooters
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) secured the second position, selling 21.84 lakh units. The Activa was Honda’s best-selling model, solidifying its position as India’s leading scooter. Honda also saw growth in its motorcycle segment, with the Shine 100 and Shine 125 driving volume increases.
TVS Motor: Riding on Scooters and Premium Motorcycles
TVS Motor Company ranked third, with 17.20 lakh units sold in H1 FY26. The Jupiter scooter and Apache motorcycle were the company’s bestsellers. The Raider 125 and iQube EV electric scooter added to TVS’s market hold.
Bajaj Auto: Powered by Pulsar and Chetak
Bajaj Auto came in fourth with sales of 11.43 lakh units. The Pulsar and Chetak electric scooter were the best-selling models for Bajaj.
Suzuki and Royal Enfield
Suzuki Motorcycle India secured the fifth position with sales of 5.23 lakh units. The Access 125 remains the best seller, with the Burgman Street contributing to their sales.
Royal Enfield achieved the 6th position, selling 4.53 lakh units. Models like the Classic 350, Bullet 350, and Hunter 350 have further strengthened its position in the premium segment.
