Skoda India is preparing to introduce the Octavia RS to the Indian market, with the launch scheduled for October 17th. Bookings for this exciting new model will open on October 6th. Prior to its official release, the performance-focused Octavia RS has been spotted in public testing without camouflage, providing a detailed look at its design. The vehicle was seen during a TV commercial shoot.
The car showcases a sporty design, with features like LED matrix headlights and DRLs. It’s also equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels and a dynamic body profile. Inside, the car offers sports seats, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and many other features.
Under the hood, the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS features a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine, delivering 216 hp and 370 Nm of maximum torque. This power is managed through a seven-speed DSG transmission, sending it to the front wheels. The Indian version will be based on the UK-spec model and therefore, will not include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC).
The 2.0-liter engine allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The RS model’s height is 15 mm lower than the standard Octavia, and it also includes a unique exhaust system to enhance its sporty character.
Given its CBU import status, the Skoda Octavia RS is expected to be priced around 50 lakh rupees. This price point puts it in direct competition with the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
