Despite a marginal decrease in earnings, the film is on track to surpass earnings of many big films by the conclusion of its first weekend. The cinematic storytelling has caught the attention of fans, with excitement building around its potential to become the first 1000-crore film of 2025. The film has demonstrated a strong worldwide performance in just two days. In India, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ opened with a bang, earning 60 crore rupees on its first day, and gaining momentum in Hindi-speaking territories. The film’s net collection in India reached 106.85 crore rupees in two days, with a gross of 128.25 crore rupees. It’s anticipated to reach approximately 200 crore rupees in India by the weekend. The film now stands as the biggest Kannada film of 2025, surpassing the 92 crore collection of ‘S u From So’. Globally, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has performed exceptionally well. It earned 13 crore rupees overseas on its opening day and approximately 10 crore rupees the following day, totaling about 23-24 crore rupees overseas. The overall global collection has reached 151 crore rupees within two days. The film has surpassed the earnings of Akshay Kumar’s films, including ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ (144 crore rupees) and ‘Sky Force’ (150 crore rupees) within just two days. The film is now focusing on challenging the collections of Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ and Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’, which garnered 180-190 crore rupees.
