In a significant move, Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu has been appointed as the Executive President of the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP by the party’s National President, Jagat Prakash Nadda. This appointment sees Sahu succeeding Ravindra Kumar Rai. The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a key organizational change in Jharkhand by appointing Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu as the Executive President of the state BJP. His appointment takes effect immediately, with Sahu replacing Ravindra Rai, who had been appointed to the role during the assembly elections. A formal announcement regarding this change was made on Friday by National Secretary Arun Singh.
Aditya Sahu held the position of in-charge for the Kolhan division during the Jharkhand Assembly elections. In 2022, he was nominated by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh to represent Jharkhand in the Rajya Sabha, where he was later elected unopposed. Before this, he served as the General Secretary of the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP. Until the recent appointment, Dr. Ravindra Kumar Roy, former MP from Koderma, was the Jharkhand BJP’s state Executive President. He was given this responsibility just before the 2024 assembly elections.
