Mansoor Alam, a 42-year-old police driver, died by suicide after consuming sulfas. The incident occurred at the police line, where Alam was stationed. The deceased had been under stress due to his suspension from duty. Before taking his own life, Alam recorded a video, in which he blamed two police station in-charges for his death, accusing them of falsely implicating him, leading to his suspension.
Alerted by a call from Alam, his colleagues found him in distress within the police line barracks. He was immediately rushed to Sadar Hospital Koderma. Due to the seriousness of his condition, doctors decided to transfer him to RIMS, Ranchi. Despite medical efforts, Alam passed away during treatment.
Alam’s wife revealed that he was under considerable stress for a prolonged period. He had been suspended for three months and faced suspension twice in the past four months. In the video recorded before his death, Alam specifically accused Jaynagar police station in-charge Bablu Singh and Domchanch police station in-charge Om Prakash Yadav of being responsible for his suspension through false accusations. Alam clearly stated in the video that the two officers were responsible for his death.
