Preparations for the burning of Ravana’s effigy were underway in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan. The event was disrupted by heavy rainfall. The rain caused the effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna, and Meghnad, which were also decorated with fireworks, to become saturated. The downpour caused Ravana’s head to break off before the planned burning.

The Ravana Dahan is organized annually at Gandhi Maidan for Vijayadashami. However, this year’s celebrations were affected by the adverse weather.
