Criminals in Jharkhand have targeted a church in the Simdega district, carrying out a robbery and violent assault. The incident occurred at the Tumdegi Church, where approximately 10-12 masked individuals, armed with weapons, stole approximately 3.50 lakh rupees. During the robbery, the Dean and Assistant Priest of the church, Thomas Soreng and Emmanuel Baghwar, were attacked and severely injured for resisting the theft. They were immediately transported to Simdega’s Sadar Hospital for medical attention, and are under the care of the Civil Surgeon. The incident occurred late Tuesday night. The police, including senior officers, are actively investigating the case and working to apprehend the perpetrators.
