Vicky Kaushal has won over audiences with his acting in Bollywood, achieving a successful career over the last ten years. He has starred in many successful films. However, some of his films have not performed well at the box office. This article highlights one such film, which was made on a budget of ₹45 crore but failed to earn even ₹6 crore.
Kaushal began his acting journey with smaller roles, before taking on leading roles. He made his debut as the lead actor in the film ‘Masaan’ in 2015. He has starred in popular movies such as ‘Raazi’, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Chhava’, and ‘Sanju’. Despite the successes, Kaushal has also experienced films that did not perform well.
The film ‘The Great Indian Family’ was released on September 22, 2023. It features Manushi Chhillar, Saloni Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, and Srishti Dixit. Vijay Krishna Acharya directed this film, which was produced by Aditya Chopra.
In ‘The Great Indian Family’, Kaushal played Ved Vyas Tripathi (Billu). The film clashed with Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara’s ‘Jawan.’ ‘Jawan’ was a huge box office success, but ‘The Great Indian Family’ did not do well, earning only ₹5.6 crore in India against a budget of ₹45 crore.
Kaushal’s last role was in the blockbuster ‘Chhava.’ He is now set to appear in ‘Love & War,’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. This upcoming film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and will be released in 2026.
