WhatsApp is adding a new Incognito Mode feature to strengthen user privacy. This feature, similar to Google Chrome’s Incognito Mode, is designed to provide a confidential space for user conversations, particularly with the Meta AI chatbot. The WhatsApp Android beta version is currently testing this feature, which ensures that conversations are not saved and no history is stored. The Incognito Mode prevents the use of chat data for AI training or personalization. Once a user exits the chat window, all questions and conversation data are deleted. Users will receive a notification upon activation, indicating that no history or personalization will be available. This option will appear in the chat window.
