The Amrit Bharat Express is becoming a preferred travel option, following the Vande Bharat Express. The Railway Board emphasized its affordability, contributing to its increasing popularity. A Railway Board official stated that the Amrit Bharat Express reinforces the nation’s self-reliance. The train’s design and features are drawing in passengers, showcasing the changing face of India. While premium trains such as Vande Bharat, Shatabdi, and Rajdhani are currently operating, the Amrit Bharat Express has swiftly established its presence. Passenger comfort during the journey is a key focus.
The train competes strongly with Vande Bharat in occupancy, with almost all seats filled. The train is also technologically advanced, offering a safe travel experience. Passengers can travel 1000 kilometers in the unreserved category for only ₹500. The train is air-conditioned. Currently, 12 Amrit Bharat Express trains are in operation across India.
Three new Amrit Bharat Express trains will begin service in Bihar today, bringing the total number of trains operating from Bihar to 10. The total number of Amrit Bharat Express trains will increase to 15, with 13 of them serving Bihar. These trains will connect Muzaffarpur-Charalapalli (near Hyderabad), Darbhanga-Madar Junction (near Ajmer), and Chhapra-Anand Vihar.
The Amrit Bharat Express is considered a modern advancement for Indian Railways. In addition to being economical, the train includes modern amenities such as semi-automatic couplers, a fire detection system, sealed gangways, and talkback units.
