In an operation, security forces engaged in a firefight with Naxalites near the Kanker-Dhamtari-Odisha border, resulting in the deaths of three Naxalites. Authorities have recovered the bodies of the deceased. SP I. Kalyan Elisela confirmed the incident. The Maoists had significant rewards declared on them. Shravan had an 8 lakh reward, Rajesh had a 5 lakh reward, and Basanti had a 1 lakh reward. A search operation is currently in progress. The encounter took place in the Tiyarpani forests under the Kotwali police station area. The security forces were reportedly on a search mission after receiving information regarding the presence of Naxalites, leading to an exchange of fire on the Kanker-Dhamtari-Odisha border.
