Russia executed its largest aerial assault on Ukraine, employing approximately 500 drones and 40 missiles, including hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, over a period of more than 12 hours. The attacks resulted in four fatalities and more than 40 injuries. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy labeled the strikes as intentional acts of terror against civilian areas.
Kyiv and its surrounding regions were the main focus of the attacks, alongside cities such as Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Khmelnytskyi. The Cardiology Institute in Kyiv suffered a direct hit, leading to the deaths of four people, including a 12-year-old child.
