The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) has multiple film releases planned for the upcoming years. ‘Thamma’, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, will be the next release. The trailer for the film launched on September 26. The story of the film is based on the story of Betal. During a press conference, the team announced a special project, already planned by MHCU.
Shraddha Kapoor, who is known for her role in the Stree films, participated in the announcement. She revealed that an animated film titled ‘Choti Stree’ will be released in theaters before ‘Stree 3’. The actress explained that ‘Choti Stree’ is aimed at children and families. It will also set the stage for ‘Stree 3’, which will be a blend of animation and live-action.
Shraddha Kapoor will also be in the lead role in ‘Choti Stree’. She has already played the lead roles in ‘Stree’ and ‘Stree 2’. Shraddha shared, “This is my favorite part. Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is bringing an animated film Choti Stree which will be released in theaters. It is for children and families. This is an exciting time for the audience.” The creators have not yet announced the cast of ‘Choti Stree’.
Producer Dinesh Vijan revealed that the ending of ‘Choti Stree’ will lead into a scene from ‘Stree 3’. The film will transition from animation to live-action, and reveal the backstory. ‘Choti Stree’ will be released six months before the release of ‘Stree 3’. ‘Stree 3’ is set to release on August 13, 2027. ‘Choti Stree’ is expected to be released at the end of 2026 or at the beginning of 2027. MHCU has many new and returning titles like Stree 3, Mahamunjya, Shakti Shalini, Chamunda, Pehla Mahayuddh and Dusra Mahayuddh. Meanwhile, Thamma will be releasing on Diwali, October 21st.
