The biographical film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ and its star, Diljit Dosanjh, have both been nominated for International Emmys. Dosanjh is recognized in the Best Actor category, and the movie is also up for Best TV Movie/Mini-Series. Dosanjh expressed his gratitude for the global recognition of Chamkila’s legacy, and thanked director Imtiaz Ali. Imtiaz Ali discussed the film’s focus on Punjab’s music, socio-politics, and struggles, and the importance of portraying Chamkila’s life. Ali congratulated the entire team, especially Dosanjh, for his excellent performance. The film, which features Parineeti Chopra, is available on Netflix. Dosanjh is nominated alongside David Mitchell, Oriol Pla, and Diego Vasquez.
