Raipur, Chhattisgarh is no longer limited to the core sector, but in the coming time it will also create a national identity in the field of wellness, healthcare and tourism. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the Chhattisgarh Care Connect program organized at Omaya Garden, Raipur today.
Chief Minister Shri Sai started his address with greetings of Shardiya Navratri and said that this event is taking place at a time when GST 2.0 implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has moved the economy towards simplicity, transparency and speed. This reform has opened unprecedented opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that while stepping with the vision of developed India of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government has set the goal of developed Chhattisgarh. More than 350 reforms have been implemented in the last one and a half years to realize this goal. He said that now we have entered the era of Speed of Doing Business by moving forward from Ease of Doing Business.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the new industrial policy is the foundation stone of Chhattisgarh’s progress. This policy has increased the confidence of investors and this is the reason that the state has received investment proposals of about Rs 7.5 lakh crore within just one year. These proposals will create employment opportunities for lakhs of people and give a new identity to the service sector.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that 11 major proposals have come to the fore in the hospitals and healthcare sector in Chhattisgarh Care Connect. These include big projects like Ginni Devi Goyal Manipal Hospital (500 beds) of Raipur, Neerganga Hospital and Research Center (450 beds), Bombay Hospital (300 beds) and Maa Padmavati Institute of Medical Sciences (750 beds). A total investment of more than Rs 2,466 crore is proposed in the field of health services, which will create about 6,000 new jobs.
Medical hub will be built from Medicity
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Medicity being developed in Nava Raipur will make Chhattisgarh a big medical hub at the national level. Patients come here from various districts of the state as well as from neighboring states. The construction of Medicity will strengthen health services and make world-class super specialty facilities available.
The Chief Minister said that there are immense possibilities of investment in the pharma sector in Chhattisgarh as well. The state government is preparing a pharma hub, where many pharma industries will operate at one place. This will give a new direction to the medicine industry in the state and ensure easy supply of essential medicines for super specialty hospitals.
Investment in hotels and tourism sector
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage and biodiversity present immense opportunities for the tourism industry. More than Rs 652 crore of investment proposals have been received from the hotel and tourism sector in the program. These include big names like Westin Hotel Raipur (Rs 212.7 crore), Hotel Ginger, Inferion Hotel and Resorts, Amuzorama Amusement Park and Hotel.
Tourism gets industry status
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that tourism has been given the status of an industry and this will benefit the investors in particular. The Chief Minister called upon the entrepreneurs associated with hotels, resorts, home stays and entertainment industry to take tourism to new heights by taking advantage of the rich culture and nature of the state.
Ease of investment process
While assuring the investors, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the single window ‘One Click’ system is implemented in Chhattisgarh, due to which any entrepreneur does not have to wander for NOC. Giving an example, he said that after the Investors Summit held in Delhi, the Palymatec company was allotted land and all the approvals were given in less than three months and they started work on a project of Rs 1,100 crore.
New technology and AI sector
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is also welcoming the AI revolution. An AI data center park is being constructed in Nava Raipur, which will make the state a hub of artificial intelligence and data management in the future. There are immense possibilities of investment for industries related to data centers here.
Steps towards power hub
He said that energy is the most essential element in the construction of a developed India. Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving towards becoming the power hub of the country. Chhattisgarh’s role in coal, minerals and energy production has already been important and this contribution will increase further in the coming years.
Connectivity and location benefits
The Chief Minister said that the Central India location of Chhattisgarh makes it special. The abundant availability of raw materials, strong connectivity of rail, road and air routes and trained human resources make it an ideal destination for investment. He said that air cargo service has also been started in the state, which will increase trade and speed.
New identity of the service sector
The Chief Minister emphasized that now Chhattisgarh will not be limited to only steel, cement, power and aluminum, but will also become the identity of the industries associated with the service sector. Healthcare, hotels, tourism and AI based industries will give new dimensions to the state’s economy in the coming time.
Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan said in the program that the government will provide facilities in all types of investment along with health, tourism. The new industrial policy has increased the attraction of industrialists towards the state. The Chief Minister has also participated in the Investor Summit in various states as well as in foreign countries like Japan and South Korea. More than 5 meetings have been held with investors in the state, which is creating new industries and employment opportunities. Investment proposals of about Rs 7.5 lakh crore have been received in the last 10 months. We have also worked to encourage the hotel and tourism sector. He said that we are trying to do the best work under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai.
It is noteworthy that in the Chhattisgarh Care Connect program organized at Omaya Garden in Raipur, the capital, reputed companies of healthcare and hotel sector presented big investment proposals. In the program, 11 big hospital groups gave investment proposals of a total of Rs 2,466.77 crore for the expansion of health services, which will provide employment to about 6000 people and new heights of modern health services will be established in the state.
In the program, Bombay Hospital Trust, Mumbai, proposed an investment of Rs 680.37 crore for a 300-bed super specialty hospital, which will provide 500 jobs. Maa Padmavati Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur will get 1,500 employment opportunities with an investment of Rs 340 crore for a 750-bed multi specialty hospital. Aarogyamrit Wellness LLP Raipur has proposed an investment of Rs 300 crore and 1,000 employment opportunities for the establishment of an internal wellness growth, health and wellness center. Four Season Hospital and Research Center Raipur will create 1,400 employment with 600 bed capacity and investment of Rs 302 crore. Ginni Devi Goyal Manipal Hospital Raipur has proposed a 307 crore multi super specialty hospital of 500 beds, in which 100 people will get employment. Neerganga Hospital and Research Center Raipur (Vandana Group) has proposed a 450-bed multi specialty hospital with an investment of Rs 205.23 crore and 302 employment opportunities. Memon Healthcare Private Limited Raipur has brought an investment of 101 crore and 400 employment opportunities in Sanjeevani Super Specialty Hospital with a capacity of 150 beds. Modern Medical Institute Raipur will generate 555 employment with an investment of Rs 91.8 crore as a 150-bed super specialty hospital. Sriram Sanjeevani Cancer Hospital Bilaspur has proposed 100 beds with an investment of 70 crore and employment of 200 people.
RS Armani Healthcare LLP has brought an investment of Rs 59.37 crore and 76 employment opportunities for a 50-bed hospital. Vrinda Chest and Medical Science Raipur has proposed a 50-bed facility with an investment of Rs 10 crore.
Hotel Westin Raipur (Sarda Group Nagpur) has proposed an investment of Rs 212.7 crore and 400 employment. Panchamrit Entertainment Private Limited Raipur (Amuzorama Amusement Park and Hotel) will create 300 employment with an investment of Rs 80.91 crore. Chauhan Housing Private Limited has proposed Inferion Hotel and Resort Raipur with an investment of Rs 80 crore.
Hotel Ginger Raipur (DSS Group) has brought an investment of Rs 78 crore and 135 employment opportunities.
M.M. Hotel Inn and Resorts Raipur will generate 110 employment opportunities with an investment of Rs 63 crore.
Prayas Mall and Multiplex Dhamtari has brought an investment of Rs 41.82 crore and 30 employment opportunities. Inferion Lake Resort Balod and Hotel Rajnandgaon have proposed an investment of Rs 25-25 crore and a total of 175 employment opportunities. The proposed Amusement Park by Godriwala and MM Group Raipur will provide an investment of Rs 24.9 crore and 70 employment opportunities. Bafna Lawn and Hotel Dhamtari (Sarovar Portico Group) has proposed an investment of Rs 20.97 crore and 22 employment opportunities.
Thus, the total investment proposals announced in the program are of Rs 3,119.07 crore. These include Rs 2,466.77 crore from the health services sector and Rs 652.3 crore from the hotel-tourism sector. More than 7 thousand jobs will be created from the proposed projects and the state will get the facility of more than 2,800 new hospital beds.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, while expressing his gratitude to the investors, said that this investment will make Chhattisgarh a new center for healthcare, wellness and tourism and Chhattisgarh will play a leading role in the construction of the resolved developed India of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.
At the end of the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that unlimited opportunities for investment are available in Chhattisgarh. Our government will provide all possible facilities and cooperation to the investors under the new industrial policy. I believe that by working together with the industries and investors of the state, we will write a new chapter of development in Chhattisgarh.
