On Tuesday, a fire broke out at Sadar Hospital in Latehar, originating from a short circuit within the Mamta Vahan cell. The hospital staff demonstrated quick action, successfully controlling the fire before it caused significant harm.
The event began when a call center employee turned on a fan. Shortly after, a short circuit occurred, and the fan ignited. This caused initial panic among those present. However, the hospital staff were able to promptly extinguish the flames. Dr. Rajmohan Khalkho, Latehar’s Civil Surgeon, confirmed the incident. He stated that although there was a fire in the hospital’s call center, it was contained quickly, and no damage was reported.
