The Undu village in the Shiv police station area of Barmer, Rajasthan, was the scene of a heartbreaking incident on September 21st. Around 10 am, a young woman’s cries alerted the local community. The scene that unfolded was one of profound grief. The body of 22-year-old Shaukat Khan was discovered. His girlfriend was found clinging to his body, her cries of anguish echoing the tragedy. She lamented his decision to leave her and expressed her despair. Police were called to the scene and initiated an investigation. The girlfriend recounted that she was in the kitchen when she went to call Shaukat. Finding the door locked, she looked through the window and saw him hanging. She then notified Shaukat’s brother. The brother, Jumma Khan, shared that he and Shaukat were in the furniture business. Shaukat’s girlfriend, originally from Jharkhand, had been residing with them. Neighbors revealed that her family had visited about ten days earlier to take her back, but she chose to stay with Shaukat. The police are investigating the case, attempting to ascertain the reasons behind the suicide.
