A surprising situation unfolded at Kanpur airport when a rat was spotted on an IndiGo aircraft, resulting in a three-hour delay. The flight was carrying 140 passengers.
The passengers informed the crew about the rat. The flight was initially scheduled to depart at 2:55 am with Delhi as its destination.
Following the rat sighting, all passengers were removed from the plane. A search operation was launched to locate the rat.
The flight, initially expected to arrive at 4:10 pm, finally landed in Delhi at 7:16 pm due to the delay.
Previously, an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Phuket was diverted to Chennai because of a reported security issue on September 19. Officials stated that all necessary procedures were immediately initiated, and the flight would go through security inspections in Chennai. Due to the night curfew at Phuket airport, the flight was rescheduled for later in the night.
Before that, an IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Delhi on September 14, had a technical issue just before takeoff and was returned to the bay.
