A tragic incident in Jharkhand’s Dumka district has resulted in a man being killed by his son-in-law due to a dowry dispute. The son-in-law’s demand for a tractor as dowry was not met, leading to a violent confrontation. The police were notified immediately and have arrested the son-in-law, initiating an investigation.
The incident occurred in Kadiya Tola, within the Saraiyahat police station area. The father-in-law, Ravindra Kapri, had gone to visit his daughter in Kadiya Tola after learning of her poor health. A dispute then arose between Ravindra and his son-in-law, Sudhir Yadav, over the demand for a tractor.
Sudhir wanted to receive a tractor from his father-in-law as dowry, a request Ravindra refused. This disagreement escalated into a violent clash, and the son-in-law attacked Ravindra, causing severe injuries. Ravindra was subsequently taken to the Sadar Hospital in Deoghar, where he later died.
The police were informed and have arrested the son-in-law, Sudhir Yadav.
