Now, he is set to receive the biggest award in the field of art by the Government of India. The announcement was made that Mohanlal will be conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony. On this occasion, he is receiving congratulatory messages. His close friend Mammootty and Prithviraj Sukumaran have also expressed their happiness.
Mammootty said, “More than a friend, a brother, and an artist who has been a part of this glorious journey of cinema for decades. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is not just for an actor, but for the true artist who has lived cinema. I am very happy on this occasion and I am proud of you, Lal. You truly deserve this crown.” Moreover, Prithviraj Sukumaran, director and actor of Mohanlal’s last blockbuster film, wrote, “Congratulations on winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. This is truly deserving for a legend who has been a part of the industry for decades.”
Mohanlal himself, is very happy to get this special honor. He said, “I feel very honored to receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and I am grateful to everyone. I express my gratitude for the blessings of the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi. Your words have not only boosted my enthusiasm but have also filled me with joy. I am indebted to the cinema and the public for all the support I have received throughout my journey so far.” Talking about his work, the actor’s film ‘Hridayaswaroopam’ is currently running in theaters and is doing well.
