As Bihar gears up for assembly elections, political alliances are taking shape. TV9 Digital organized a digital meeting in Purnia to discuss the political landscape. AIMIM’s Adil Hasan claimed that Tejashwi Yadav cannot become Chief Minister without AIMIM’s support, highlighting the RJD’s past failures to defeat the NDA. RJD spokesperson Dr. Alok refuted this, stating that AIMIM lacks a significant presence in Seemanchal.
When asked about their strategy in Purnia, Adil Hasan emphasized their commitment to justice for Seemanchal, referencing Asaduddin Owaisi’s efforts. He reiterated that they are not against RJD and have always supported the opposition.
Hasan criticized the RJD, questioning their past electoral performance and encouraging them to form a combined front. He suggested the RJD and AIMIM losses benefited the BJP.
Dr. Alok responded by suggesting supporting the RJD to counter the BJP without contesting elections.
Dr. Alok also alleged that certain AIMIM leaders are backed by the BJP and are misleading the public with false claims.
Dr. Alok added that Lalu Yadav’s main objective is to stop communal forces and the party will do all it takes to stop BJP.
Political analyst Pankaj Bhartiya believes that AIMIM is present in Seemanchal. He further added that RJD and Congress do not want to include AIMIM, as they believe that they have all the votes in the minority vote bank.
Adil Hasan stated that if AIMIM contests 100 seats, it will negatively affect the RJD. He also added that they want to be in alliance with RJD and don’t want BJP to be in power.
Dr. Alok pointed out that AIMIM’s success in 2020 was largely due to individual candidate popularity and that AIMIM’s support base in Seemanchal isn’t very significant.
On Prashant Kishor, Adil Hasan acknowledged his arrival and also pointed out that he is not a good actor, and his efforts should be applauded.
