The debate about the Chief Ministerial candidate has gained momentum in Bihar politics. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has clearly stated that the Mahagathbandhan will not contest the elections without a designated Chief Ministerial candidate. He sarcastically questioned whether they would follow the BJP’s strategy of contesting without a face. These remarks were made during his ‘Adhikar Yatra,’ which focused on regions not previously included in his opposition yatra.
Tejashwi Yadav has previously expressed his support for Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the opposition alliance. However, Rahul Gandhi has not yet officially announced Tejashwi as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. Tejashwi replied by saying that the public will decide the matter. He underscored that becoming the Chief Minister or forming a government isn’t everything; the real goal is to develop Bihar. He also mentioned that the Chief Ministerial candidate would be decided after the seat-sharing agreements are completed.
