Nepal celebrated Constitution Day with Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki delivering a speech on the importance of the constitution and its successful enforcement. Karki emphasized the Gen-Z movement’s significance as a manifestation of the younger generation’s discontent and aspirations. She promised the government’s commitment to listening to the people and finding solutions to their problems, while also pledging to combat corruption, create jobs, and uplift citizens’ living standards.
Following the Gen-Z movement, and the political instability that followed, the country is now looking ahead with elections scheduled for March 5, 2026. Various political parties conducted their own events in Kathmandu to mark the day. President Paudel called for unity to achieve peace and prosperity. The Gen-Z group organized a rally at Maitighar Mandala, the site of the protests on September 8 and 9.
