Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s presence in Australia for the upcoming Under-19 series between India and Australia has been marked by a remarkable video. The series includes an ODI format followed by two multi-day matches, with the ODI series commencing on September 21st.
The video, which Suryavanshi shared on his Instagram story and was later distributed by his IPL team, Rajasthan Royals, presents an animated sequence. It features Suryavanshi making a dramatic entrance onto the cricket pitch from above, resembling a descent from a spacecraft. The animation initially shows Suryavanshi with a robotic appearance, which soon changes into his familiar form, followed by a dynamic cricket shot.
This marks Suryavanshi’s inaugural tour of Australia, along with his first ODI series against Australia. Previously, he has played ODIs against the Under-19 teams of Bangladesh, England, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Across those matches, Suryavanshi has achieved a total of 432 runs at an average of 54, which includes one century.
After the ODI series, the Indian Under-19 team is slated to participate in two multi-day matches in Australia. Suryavanshi’s prior experience includes only four multi-day matches. Two of these were on home soil against Australia and two were during the England tour. The upcoming matches will be his first time playing multi-day matches in Australia.
