Sam Pitroda, a prominent figure in the Congress party’s Overseas Department, has found himself in the center of controversy again. He released a video where he said he feels at home in Pakistan, and doesn’t feel like he is in a foreign country when he visits. This statement comes at a time of considerable tension between India and Pakistan.
Pitroda has advised that India should engage in discussions with Pakistan to improve relations. This advice came despite India’s decision not to have any dialogue with Pakistan. India has maintained this stance after Operation Sindoor.
Additionally, Pitroda commented on Nepal and Bangladesh, stressing the need to strengthen relations with them. He noted that a successful foreign policy is linked to having strong relationships with neighboring countries.
He questioned the government on whether India’s relations with Nepal and Bangladesh are currently positive, implying that there might be issues.
