In preparation for the upcoming assembly elections, political parties in Bihar are intensifying their efforts to bolster their organizational structures. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Bihar for two days starting Thursday, and his agenda includes organizational meetings with party leaders and workers. These meetings are designed to prepare for the elections and to solidify the party’s position. Shah will meet with BJP party workers from 20 districts during his visit, with key sessions planned in Dehri-on-Sone and Begusarai. He will meet with BJP workers and leaders from 10 districts in the Magadh and Shahabad areas at the Lalan Singh Stadium in Dehri-on-Sone (Rohtas district). Following this, he will go to Begusarai to interact with leaders and officials from another 10 districts, including Patna Rural, Patna Metro, Barh, and Nalanda. Around 2,000 to 2,500 BJP workers, including district presidents and MLAs, are expected to be addressed by Amit Shah. The focus of these meetings will be on election preparations and strategic planning, according to party sources. The BJP has divided Bihar into five organizational zones, and Shah will be engaging with leaders from two of these zones during his visit. The BJP is also launching a campaign strategy that includes the “Seva Pakhwada” program, with ‘door-to-door contact campaigns’ planned from September 18 to 25 to inform the public about government welfare schemes. A follow-up meeting with BJP leaders is scheduled for September 27, where discussions will likely focus on seat allocation, candidate selection, and campaign strategies with allies. The BJP aims to win 225 seats in the upcoming elections and is organizing joint worker conferences across all 243 assembly constituencies as part of this plan. Dilip Jaiswal, the BJP’s state president, highlighted that the visit is intended to mobilize and motivate the party’s grassroots workers before the elections. The central minister will review booth-level preparations and strategies for strengthening the party. Shah will evaluate election strategies at the district and regional levels, interacting with MPs, MLAs, and senior leaders to assess the situation on the ground. This visit follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Purnia on September 15 and is viewed as a significant pre-election event, with discussions on seat distribution and candidate selection expected.
