Chhattisgarh is gearing up for the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign) and National Nutrition Month, scheduled from September 17th to October 2nd. This initiative, organized by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Child Development, will be followed by National Nutrition Month 2025 from September 17th to October 16th nationwide. The Prime Minister will launch the campaign and Nutrition Month from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on September 17th.
The state-level launch in Chhattisgarh will take place at the Agriculture College Auditorium in Raipur, with the Chief Minister as the chief guest and the Union Minister of Women and Child Development presiding. The campaign includes more than 7,500 health camps across the state, offering screenings and treatments for women and children. These camps will address health issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, tuberculosis, and leprosy. Additional components include prenatal check-ups for pregnant women, distribution of mother and child safety cards, child vaccinations, and educational programs focusing on nutrition and menstrual hygiene for adolescent girls.
