Aamir Khan, the celebrated actor known for his meticulous approach, is currently at the center of industry conversations. His anticipated projects have undergone changes, and a major film has been put on hold. This decision, which reportedly impacted the director, has ignited speculation about the circumstances behind the move.
Khan and Rajkumar Hirani were planning a biopic based on the life of ‘Dadasaheb Phalke’. This collaboration was highly anticipated, building on the success of ‘3 Idiots’ and PK. The film, however, has been put on hold, disappointing fans. Explanations regarding the delay are now surfacing.
Reports suggest that Aamir Khan assessed the script for ‘Dadasaheb Phalke’, presented to him by Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi. However, Khan felt the script lacked key elements for a successful theatrical run. He hoped for a mix of comedy and emotion, similar to his previous hits, but the script didn’t deliver that. Consequently, Aamir Khan expressed his dissatisfaction with the script and requested that Rajkumar Hirani rewrite and resubmit it.
Rajkumar Hirani was reportedly taken aback by Khan’s response, and Abhijat Joshi was also surprised. The film was set to begin production this October. However, before filming could start, changes were made. Khan is now exploring other script options and actively seeking out stories from within the film industry.
Additionally, the superhero film planned with Lokesh Kanagaraj has also been shelved. Disagreements between Khan and Kanagaraj over the project’s creative direction led to the decision. Although Kanagaraj might proceed with the superhero film with a different actor, the project is currently inactive.
