In a demonstration of solidarity, roughly 90 students from the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) school in the Pakke Kesang district of Arunachal Pradesh embarked on a 65-kilometer march to protest the shortage of teachers, specifically targeting the education department. The students, including those in Class 11 and 12, initiated their march from Nyangno village. The students carried posters with messages such as ‘a school without a teacher is just a building’ and voiced their concerns through chants. The headmistress of the school confirmed awareness of the issue concerning Geography and Political Science teachers, whilst noting the availability of tutors for other subjects.
