Tata Motors is preparing to launch three new compact SUVs, aiming to bolster its presence within the sub-4 meter segment. These new models are expected to be priced under ₹10 lakh. The company intends to introduce two of these SUVs within three years. The Tata Punch facelift is expected to be launched in November. The Tata Punch facelift is anticipated to include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which replaces the current 7.0-inch screen. Moreover, the SUV is expected to have several other key improvements, including a larger driver display. The new Tata Punch will probably be offered with the same 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engine options as the current model, along with 5-speed manual and automatic manual transmission options. The existing Tata Punch CNG has a 5-speed manual transmission, while the new Punch CNG could potentially get a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
The second-generation Nexon (code-named: Garuda) is scheduled for launch in 2027. This new version might be offered with 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engine options. However, it won’t include the 1.5-liter diesel engine option, although it will have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Level 2 ADAS, and a power-adjustable driver seat. Tata is also considering the launch of the Scarlet, a robust SUV designed to compete with the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
