A tragic incident has unfolded in Patna, Bihar, where a disabled man was found murdered near a temple. The victim was killed in a brutal attack involving stones. The event has caused a significant stir within the local community.
The incident occurred near the Gauri Sthan temple, under the purview of the Maner police station. The deceased has been identified as Jeet Lal Rai, a resident of Sherpur. He was residing with his brother-in-law, Rudal Rai, in the Jivrakhan Tola area. The police’s preliminary assessment suggests a premeditated act.
The police investigation, which included questioning witnesses, brought forth the revelation that the temple cleaner, Laxman Rai, stated that Gorakh Rai and his brother were responsible for the murder. CCTV footage supported this, showing one individual striking a sleeping person on the temple platform with a stone and fleeing, while another was acting as a lookout. The assailant was identified as Bulu Rai, a resident of Jivrakhan Tola, with Laxman Rai serving as the lookout. Bulu Rai and Laxman Rai have both been taken into custody.
During interrogation, the police discovered that the intention was to falsely implicate others. A loudspeaker had been stolen from the temple some days before, and Laxman Rai was questioned by the police. The suspects believed that Gorakh and his brother had informed the police about the theft. Consequently, they murdered the disabled man sleeping on the platform to implicate Gorakh and his brother. The police are now pursuing legal action in this case.
