‘Mirai,’ an action-adventure film starring Teja Sajja, is receiving a positive reception from viewers. Sajja returns to the screen following the success of ‘HanuMan.’ Despite the release of multiple films this week, ‘Mirai’ has established a solid presence at the box office. The movie’s financial success is evident in its Day 2 collection figures.
‘Mirai’ had a strong opening, earning Rs 13 crore on Day 1 (Friday), primarily from the Telugu version (Rs 11.15 crore), with the Hindi version contributing Rs 1.65 crore, and smaller amounts coming from Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. On Day 2 (Saturday), collections increased to approximately Rs 14.5 crore, with Telugu contributing Rs 11.5 crore and Hindi Rs 2.8 crore. This results in a two-day total of Rs 27.5 crore, with Telugu leading at Rs 22.65 crore, Hindi at Rs 4.45 crore, and the remainder from other languages.
The film’s storyline revolves around a warrior tasked with protecting nine sacred scriptures that have the power to transform any mortal into a god.
Teja Sajja shared details on how he was chosen for ‘Mirai’ after ‘HanuMan.’ Director Karthik Ghattamaneni presented the film’s challenges during the narration, potentially to gauge Sajja’s commitment. Sajja subsequently confirmed his commitment to the film. Besides Teja Sajja, ‘Mirai’ stars Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, and Shriya Saran, with Manchu Manoj playing the main villain.
