Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Cartoon Festival-2025 in Raipur, hosted by Cartoon Watch magazine. He highlighted the importance of cartoons, describing them as more than just entertainment. He sees cartoons as a reflection of society that uses humor to address serious issues in an accessible way. Mr. Sai believes cartoons serve the dual purpose of entertaining and educating the public, encouraging critical thinking. At the festival, the Chief Minister presented the Cartoon Watch magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Manoj Chopra, a prominent cartoonist from Jammu and Kashmir. He also took the opportunity to create a cartoon of his own. Speaking at the Cartoon Watch Festival, Mr. Sai acknowledged the magazine’s 29 years of success and its entry into its 30th year. He offered his congratulations and encouragement to the Cartoon Watch team. He expressed his hope that the festival might be held in Bastar next year, recognizing the improving security situation there. He discussed the government’s Niyad Nella Nar Yojana in Bastar, which is providing essential services to over 300 villages. Mr. Sai noted the positive changes in Bastar, referencing the shift from conflict to education and development.
