The Amazon MX Player series ‘Rise and Fall’ has been generating significant buzz. Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh is a contestant, with the show providing daily updates on his journey. On the program, Pawan Singh shared his story of early struggles, recalling the stark contrast between his past and present life alongside fellow contestants.
When asked about his life before stardom, Pawan Singh spoke about a time when simple experiences were a dream, stating, “There was a period when we slept on the roof with our family. Whenever a plane flew, we’d discuss with our siblings how people fit in those small spaces.”
He added, “We traveled in general compartments and often looked into AC coaches on trains. Now, these experiences are common for me; I primarily use flights. Yet, I have not, and will never, forget those days.”
Pawan Singh, who was born in Jokhari, Bihar, is currently 39 years old and has dedicated nearly two decades to Bhojpuri cinema. His love for music began early, and he often sang alongside his uncle. Pawan Singh says that in the 1990s, his uncle provided him with music training. He started releasing albums around the year 2000.
His breakthrough came in 2008 with the song ‘Lollypop Lagelu,’ which catapulted him to fame. That year, his film ‘Pratigya,’ co-starring Dinesh Lal, was released. The film and its songs were a major success, and Pawan Singh continued to rise. Today, Pawan Singh is a leading singer and actor in Bhojpuri cinema, and he has gained recognition in Bollywood as well.
