A disturbing event has unfolded in Jharkhand’s Chatra district. A man was murdered by a group who suspected him of practicing sorcery. The attackers first cut off his tongue with a sharp weapon and then beat him to death. Subsequently, they set his body ablaze. The victim has been identified as Dharmdev Uraon. The incident happened in Khuntitola village, within the Tandwa police station area. Upon learning of the murder, the police arrived at the scene, but the accused had already escaped. The police are currently conducting raids to capture the suspects. It is believed that the murder was carried out in retribution for the passing of a young man who resided near Dharmdev Uraon some months ago. The family of the young man held Dharmdev responsible for their son’s death, accusing him of using black magic. The initial investigation suggests that around six people were involved in this violent crime.
